TAWAU: The Marine Police Team (PPM) in Tawau successfully uncovered a diesel smuggling operation during a raid on a warehouse located on Jalan Sin San here on Friday.
The raid was conducted following intelligence and public information, leading authorities to track a suspicious 21-ton truck to the site.
Inspection revealed that illegal diesel transfer activities were in progress.
The operation resulted in the discovery of three trucks, three skid tanks, and 10 drums believed to be used in the illicit activities.
A total of 30,800 liters of diesel were seized, with an overall value of RM1.165 million.
A local man was also arrested, and the case is being investigated under the Supply Control Act 1961
