KOTA KINABALU: The Team D Black squad emerged victorious in the BMU FUT8 President’s Cup Tournament, organised by the BMU Football Club in Kota Kinabalu.
The one-day tournament took place at the FUT8 Sembulan II field here on Sunday.
The Team B Red squad secured the runner-up title, while the Team C Yellow squad finished in third place.
Albert Jandan Ak Ruka was awarded the Best Player of the Tournament, while Jasnih Andrew was the top scorer with 5 goals throughout the tournament, and Azlan Shah @Ating was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, the President of the BMU Football Club in Kota Kinabalu, Gundohing Ninewjo Newmond, praised the sportsmanship of the players and described the FUT8 competition as an excellent match.
He stated that if all goes well, the club plans to organize several more tournaments of this kind later this year.
