KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah State Water Department (JANS) is called upon to promptly address the treated water supply problems affecting several residential areas in Kinarut.
In making this call, Putatan UMNO Chief Putatan, Jeffery Nor Mohamed, mentioned that the affected areas include PPR Kinarut Ria housing, Taman Limauan Kinarut, Kampung Anak, Kampung Laut, and South Prima Kinarut Apartments.
He stated that the water supply issue has persisted for several days, causing significant problems for the residents in the affected areas.
“Relying solely on water from tankers is insufficient; immediate and effective measures need to be implemented.
“The use of a ‘balancing tank’ should be maximized effectively.
“I am confused about JANS’s responsibilities; it is time to establish a ‘Sabah Water Commission’ for strict monitoring of our water resources in Sabah,” he said in a statement here today.
In this regard, Jeffery urges JANS to promptly address the water supply issues in the area.
“This is because it affects a large number of residents, which will add to the stress of their family life,” he said.
