KOTA KINABALU: Putatan UMNO Chief Jeffery Nor Mohamed described the statement made by DAP’s publicity secretary, Yeo Bee Yin, regarding Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s continued imprisonment at Kajang Prison as extremely rude and disrespectful towards the former Prime Minister.
He stated that Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has made significant contributions to the state of Sabah.
“Therefore, we urge YB Yeo to retract her statement on Facebook.
“Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak is our former leader, and we will certainly continue to support him,” he said in a statement here.
Jeffery mentioned that the level of support has its limits if this disrespect continues.
“So what other actions are there to make those who are ungrateful aware?” he said.
Earlier, the Kuala Lumpur High Court rejected the judicial review application filed by the former Prime Minister to compel the government and six others to implement the Addendum Order so that he could serve the remainder of his prison sentence under house arrest.
This involves the misappropriation of RM42 million belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd, for which Najib, also a former UMNO President, was convicted.
