TUARAN: With just three days left in the campaign, the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) has received a fresh boost as 173 members from PBS, UPKO, and Gagasan Rakyat in Kampung Lingga and Mantob decided to leave their respective parties and join KDM.
The membership forms for KDM were handed over by their representative, Robert Gotou, to the KDM Kiulu candidate and also the party’s Vice President, Gundohing Henry Saimpon, during campaigning in Kandaki Mantob on Tuesday.
Also present to witness the membership form handover was the Chief of PDM Mantob, Gundohing Midin Lobintang.
According to Robert, all of them chose to join KDM to ensure that the opposition votes in Kiulu do not split, thereby giving KDM a strong chance to compete against the ruling GRS candidate.
“We see a need for the people here to unite and provide solid support to the KDM candidate,” he stated after the speech event.
Earlier, Henry urged the voters of DUN Kiulu to come out in large numbers to vote and support the local party in the Sabah State General Election this Saturday.
He emphasised that this support is crucial for the continued development and basic facilities in the Kiulu area.
“I am ready to provide the best service for Kiulu if given the mandate to be the people’s representative,” he said.
