SANDAKAN: Frankie Poon, KDM’s candidate for Tanjong Papat, publicly endorsed the service quality and work performance of the party’s Elopura candidate, Liau Fui Fui, during a campaign rally held in the constituency.
At the gathering, Poon spoke highly of Liau’s commitment to service. He stated, “KDM’s Elopura candidate, Liau Fui Fui, is someone who truly gets things done. I am confident she can bring real change to Elopura.”
He went on to assure voters directly: “To the voters of Elopura, I give you my word—Liau Fui Fui is a hard-working and diligent leader. Whenever people face difficulties, she steps up. Remember the major water outage in Sandakan? She led her team, working until 4 a.m., to help resolve the situation.”
Adding a touch of humour yet with firm conviction, Poon remarked, “If she doesn’t do her job well, you tell me—I’ll make sure she hears about it.”
Speaking about recent political developments, Poon shared a notable figure: “When we decided to join KDM, within just four days, 5,000 people followed us. On nomination day, we expected 2,500 supporters to show up, but more than 3,000 showed up. This shows that over the past seven years, we have been working earnestly. Even now, people continue to express their willingness to join us.” This reflects the growing momentum KDM has gained in the current election campaign.
In closing, Poon made a strong appeal to all voters: “I sincerely urge all voters to recognise the Rafflesia symbol and vote for KDM candidates. Let us elect more and stronger KDM representatives to the State Assembly so we can secure more resources for Sandakan and fully drive the development of our hometown!”
