KOTA KINABALU: The KDM party has announced another new candidate for the upcoming 17th Sabah General Election (PRU Sabah-17), thereby completing its list of 40 candidates so far.
The latest candidate is Yabri Onos, who will represent the party in Kemabong.
This announcement comes a day after the initial list of 39 candidates was revealed on Thursday.
In another development, KDM has also confirmed a candidate change for the Inanam seat constituency.
The party had previously named Datuk George Guntarik, but the top leadership has decided to present Lewis Wong as the new candidate for that seat.
According to KDM’s Secretary-General, Willie Jude, this change is part of the party’s strategy to strengthen its readiness for the upcoming state election.
“This decision was made after a thorough review to ensure that each seat is contested by the most suitable and potential candidates,” he stated in a press release today.
