GRS aims to notch a surprise win in Tambunan

KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidate Dato’ Victor P. Paut is confident in notching up a surprise win in the Tambunan state constituency in the upcoming state election (PRN) scheduled for November 29.

He stated that this confidence stems from the increasing support of the people of Tambunan towards GRS.

“The chances of GRS winning in Tambunan are very bright, as the majority of Tambunan residents desire a change in leadership.

“They (the people of Tambunan) also seek progress in terms of economic and developmental aspects. This is because Tambunan has fallen significantly behind compared to other districts in the state,” he said.

Victor made these remarks to reporters after being announced as the GRS candidate for Tambunan by GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor today.

Victor, a native of Kampung Lintuhun, Tambunan, mentioned that the people of Tambunan are now looking for a new leader with a fresh vision and mission to elevate Tambunan to a new era of excellence.

Victor also expressed his determination to advance Tambunan in economic, social, and community aspects.

“I see that the economy of Tambunan can be boosted, especially in modern agricultural resources and tourism.

“I believe the potential in the tourism sector can be maximised, as Tambunan has a rich historical background,” he stated.

He expressed gratitude to the party leadership, particularly to GRS Chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor, for the trust placed in him.

“This is a responsibility that I will carry out to the best of my ability,” he said.
