KOTA KINABALU: Warisan’s Hatta has thrown down an open challenge to Nizam Abu Bakar Titingan of GRS to a public debate on issues that matter most to Sabahans — corruption, the water department scandal, governance performance, and the real measure of success between Warisan and GRS.
“If GRS leaders truly believe they have served Sabah better, then prove it — not through press statements, but through an open debate before the people,” Hatta said.
The debate must also include two crucial topics that have long affected Sabahans: the Pan Borneo Highway project and the PTI (undocumented migrants) issue, the people want to know who are the real penternak PTI.
“This debate is not about politics — it’s about truth and accountability. Voters deserve to hear facts, not slogans,” Hatta said.
“If GRS has nothing to hide, they should attend and show the evidence. But if they refuse, then they should stop talking big in the media.”
Hatta urged the media and civil society to help facilitate the debate, saying that transparency is the best test of leadership.
“Real leaders do not fear debate — only those with something to hide do,” He concluded.
