TAMBUNAN: The Tambunan Division Chief of the Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS), Dato Dr. Victor Peter Paut, is determined to bring the people’s dream of transforming the Tambunan District toward excellence.
In this regard, he invited the people of Tambunan to work together to realize this mission, to fight together and unite to prove that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) can bring about better changes than before.
“From the very beginning, I was determined to become the leader of Tambunan.
“I didn’t hesitate because I was confident that the people of Tambunan have an extraordinary fighting spirit and great potential to bring this district to a better level than before,” he said.
He said this while officiating the launch of the Election Machinery (GRS) for the Tambunan State Constituency, at the Pisompuruan Tambunan Open Hall, here on Saturday.
Also present were representatives from the GRS components, including Wilfredolin Jakil, Treasurer of the United Sabah Party (PBS) Tambunan Division; Mohd Yassin Mohd Yunus, Deputy Head of the PGRS Division; Hussein Hassan, Vise Head of the PGRS Tambunan Division; Mohd Hajjaz Iqbal (division secretary); Ar Rafi Yasin (youth leader); and Vianney Evanna Vide (youth leader).
Dr. Victor said that the gathering for the launch of the Tambunan GRS Machinery was not an ordinary gathering, but a platform to strengthen the leadership ranks at every village-level GRS branch in Tambunan, as well as to unite the election machinery and all GRS supporters under one spirit of struggle.
“Therefore, we must rise together. Because if we don’t rise up, no one will rise up for us! If we want success, we must start now! “If we want change, we must be brave enough to take the first step,” he said.
Dr. Victor emphasized that this election is not just about empty promises. Standing here before you all, I bring the hopes of the villagers who want their voices heard, the villagers who want a leader who extends a hand when needed, a leader who offers more than empty promises.
“I am fighting here not for myself, but I am fighting because I myself have seen the fate of my village, Tambunan,” he added.
Dr. Victor said that during his service under PGRS Tambunan, he had the opportunity to meet thousands of people, including farmers, teachers, parents, senior citizens, and young people.
“I’ve heard various complaints, some people need help sending their children to continue their studies, buying medicine, getting donations during disasters, and so on.
“From everything I’ve heard, I realize that the people of Tambunan are not looking for empty promises, but for justice, opportunity, and shared prosperity.
“Our struggle as GRS Tambunan is not driven by political money, but by the voices and dreams of the people themselves,” he said.
Therefore, let’s go! “We are carrying this trust together and bringing the people’s dreams with a clear goal, which is ‘Transformation toward a better future’,” he said.
For the sake of our children! For the sake of family and for the future of generations to come! We’re already halfway thru this struggle! This is the time for us to prove our sincerity! Make it until the very end! Until victory is ours in the upcoming election! “This victory is not my own, but it is a victory for all of us,” he said.
Dr. Victor urged those who fought alongside him not to be intimidated or afraid of negative comments or the widespread criticism on social media, we know what we are doing! Our intentions are good! Rise up, all native children of Tambunan!
Tambunan, our homeland! Let’s preserve it, let’s defend it! Together with GRS, we are strong and united! Tambunan is not just a place to live, but our soul and lifeblood! This is where we take shelter, this is where we build hope! In GRS, we move forward together toward the future!
“This struggle is not easy; if it were easy, it wouldn’t be a struggle! Remember! People’s representatives are elected by the people and can be removed by the people! GRS! Keep going! Tambunan, keep rising!,” he concluded.
