TENOM: The excitement of the Sabah state election is starting to be felt.
As the polling day for the Sabah State Election approaches on November 29, discussions about which party will win are taking place in coffee shops everywhere.
Candidates are busy reaching out to as many voters as possible in their respective DUN areas.
No exception for the acting president of the KDM party, Ms Priscella Peter, who is diligently connecting with voters in the Melalap DUN, a seat that was once a stronghold for her father, Datuk Peter Anthony.
Yesterday, Priscella attended a community gathering at PDM Lagud held in Kg. Liuh, Tenom.
During the event, she interacted warmly with the villagers present and listened to several concerns raised by them.
At the same time, Priscella welcomed several new members who joined the KDM party.
Previously, Ms Priscella stated her intention to continue her father’s legacy in developing and assisting the people in the area.
“I will continue the fight to help the people in Melalap; there is still much development to be done. I am running in Melalap not just for my dad, but for the people of Melalap who are still hoping for ongoing development,” she said recently.
In the last Sabah State Election, Peter, who ran under the Warisan banner, won the seat with a majority of 1,719 votes in a six-cornered contest.
In early 2022, Peter left Warisan to establish the KDM party.
