KOTA KINABALU: The slogan Sabah for Sabahan and local parties are only used as a facade to mask weaknesses and a greed for power.
The Chairman of Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN), Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, said that the presence of more than ten local parties in Sabah demonstrates their sole intention to seize power.
“The people of Sabah should not be deceived by the slogan ‘Sabah for Sabahan’ or ‘local parties’ that are frequently used as political bait by these local parties.
“If they truly fight for Sabah’s rights, why are there so many local parties that cannot unite?
“The reality is simple… everyone wants power, not to serve. To date, at least ten local parties in Sabah have been officially recognized by the Registrar of Societies Malaysia (ROS), yet each is vying for seats and influence. This is not a struggle for the people; it is a power grab,” he said in a statement.
Bung asserted that BN Sabah firmly believes that there is no need for ten parties to advocate for Sabah; rather, what is needed is a single, honest, stable direction that is people-centered.
“Enough of Sabah being a victim of political slogans. What the people want is not empty rhetoric but clean, courageous, and service-oriented leadership,” he added.
