Henry Saimpon — the perfect choice to hold the position of Minister of Youth and Sports in Sabah if KDM granted the mandate – Wetrom Bahanda

TUARAN: The Vice President of the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), Gundohing Henry Saimpon, is considered the ideal candidate for the role of the State Minister of Youth and Sports, should the party receive a mandate in the upcoming state election (PRN).

In drumming up support for KDM, KDM Deputy President Datuk Wetrom Bahanda stated that based on Henry’s experience as a former national and state football player, as well as his management of the Sabah Rhinos team, there is no doubt he possesses the qualities necessary to further enhance the development of sports and youth in the state.

“This is why we have chosen Henry as KDM’s candidate to contest in Kiulu, not only to advance sports and youth but also to bring about a transformation in the development landscape of Kiulu.

“Inshallah, if we win in the PRN, we will assign Henry the role of Minister of Youth and Sports,” he said in jest.

Wetrom made these remarks during the launch of the Kiulu Closed Football League at Pukak Field, near here, today.

Also present were Vice Presidents of KDM – Dr Oswald Aisat, Dr Gaim James Lunkapis, and KDM Secretary-General Gundohing Willie Jude.

Wetrom noted that young voters have a significant influence in shaping politics and determining the future of the state.

He emphasised that in this regard, the youth must make wise decisions in the PRN to secure a bright future for the state and the youth of Sabah.
