KOTA KINABALU: DAP Sabah respects the decision of former chairman, Datuk Frankie Poon, and former secretary, Liau Fui Fui, to leave the party along with their respective branches.
In a statement on Saturday, DAP Sabah Chairman Phoong Jin Zhe expressed gratitude for the service and contributions both individuals made to the party and the people of Sabah during their time with DAP.
“We wish them success in their future endeavors,” the statement read.
Phoong mentioned that it is now time for DAP Sabah to continue focusing on serving the residents of Sandakan and to bring more positive development to the local community.
He added that he has full confidence in the Secretary of DAP Sabah and Member of Parliament for Sandakan, Vivian Wong, to unite and strengthen the party’s machinery in the area.
“My team, along with the new leadership of DAP Sabah, will continue to work with honesty, humility, and dedication to serve the people and carry on our struggle for a better Sabah for all its citizens.
“Together, we will embark on a new chapter that brings hope, resilience, and unity for all the people of Sabah,” he said.
