KOTA KINABALU: The Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) has named a new face – Razzidin Robert, the son of the former Bingkor assemblyman Datuk Robert Tawik – as the STAR candidate for the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).
Razzidin, who is currently the Deputy Chief of the STAR Wiramuda Exco, has been announced as the candidate for the seat previously held by his father, marking a continuation of STAR’s leadership in the area.
Jordan Jude Ellron, the Chief of the STAR Wiramuda Exco, congratulated Razzidin on his selection and expressed confidence in his ability to retain the Bingkor seat.
“Congratulations to Razzidin Robert for being chosen as the candidate for N.40 Bingkor under the STAR banner.
“I am confident that he can secure a significant victory for STAR Sabah,” he stated.
Jordan also urged voters in Bingkor to provide strong support for the young candidate, who is described as capable, principled, and in tune with the voices of the new generation.
“As the Deputy Chief of the Wiramuda Exco, he has demonstrated a high level of commitment to the party’s struggle and a determination to bring positive change to rural communities,” he added.
Previously, Datuk Robert Tawik, along with four other STAR assembly members, namely Datuk Ellron Angin (Sook), Datuk Abidin Madingkir (Paginatan), Datuk Annuar Ayub (Liawan), and Datuk Flovia Ng (Tulid), announced their support for the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
The selection of Razzidin as the candidate for the seat is seen as a move by STAR to strengthen its influence in rural areas and to provide an opportunity for the younger generation to continue the party’s leadership.
