KOTA BELUD: The Sentuhan Kasih Desa MADANI programme organised by KEMAS reflects the Federal Government’s strong commitment to reaching out to rural communities, particularly in Sabah.
Usukan assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said since the early 1990s, KEMAS has played a vital role through early childhood education at TABIKA and Taska, adult literacy classes, and skill-training programmes for rural women and youth.
He said the programme demonstrates how federal government policies are translated into direct benefits for the people in the villages—not just promises, but tangible support that uplifts families and strengthens communities.
“I call upon the people of Kg. Lentiggi (Kota Belud) to fully embrace the opportunities provided by KEMAS, as this reflects the close cooperation between the Federal Government, the State, and the rakyat,” he said.
Also present at the programme were Yang Berusaha En. Ahmad Fakhrul Azman bin Muhammad Radzi, Director of KEMAS Sabah; Yang Berusaha En. Mohd Tahir Abdul Rahman, KEMAS Officer for Kota Belud District; Yang Berusaha En. Azuwan bin Marjan @ Norjan, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of GiatMARA Kota Belud; Tuan Haji Mohd Farid bin Awang Omar, Manager of Tabung Haji; En. Jaip Satuh, Village Head of Lentigi; and En. Nordin Bandah, Chairman of the JKKK Kg. Lentigi.
