Henry Saimpon outlines several initiatives to boost youth development in Kiulu

TUARAN: The Democratic People’s Welfare Party (KDM) Kiulu has outlined various initiatives that will be prioritised, thereby impacting the youth in the Kiulu constituency to become more productive, competitive, and consistently prosperous in their lives.

The Kiulu KDM Chief Coordinator, Gundohing Henry Saimpon, said that this includes organising the Youth Genta Tour Program aimed at producing more productive and competitive youth in the entrepreneurial world, including social media marketing.

He believes that this initiative will significantly contribute to empowering youth development in Kiulu.

Henry mentioned that the program can be successfully implemented in collaboration with strategic partners such as PERKESO, the Department of Agriculture, the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM), and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

“This strategic collaboration opens up opportunities for rural youth, especially in the Kiulu constituency, to venture into entrepreneurship, including local products.

“For youth seeking employment, PERKESO can assist in providing employers who need workers, who will be interviewed face-to-face during this program.

“This is among the strategies that KDM Kiulu plans to implement if given the mandate in the upcoming state elections,” he said.

Henry made these comments while commenting on the Santai Program with Youths of the Lokos Zone in Kampung Lokos on Saturday.

Also present were the Vice Chief Coordinator of KDM Kiulu – Saimon Yagul, and Jasinin Yukin.

During the santai program, a 7-a-side football competition and a lucky draw were also organized.

Regarding sports, Henry stated that KDM Kiulu plans to organize the “Kiulu Games”, a Closed Football League in Kiulu, and football clinics by zone at the U12 level.

“Initially, we will organise three events for Kiulu Games, namely football, badminton, and futsal,” he said.

Henry mentioned that the event is expected to not only uncover new talents in the sports arena for promotion to higher levels, but also to strengthen the bonds of goodwill among the residents of Kiulu.
