BN Focus on Election Preparedness in 73 DUN Seats – Ahmad Zahid

PUTRAJAYA:Barisan Nasional (BN) is currently mobilising its election machinery across all 73 State Assembly (DUN) seats in Sabah in preparation for the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN17).

BN Chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi stated that they are currently analysing DUN areas that have the potential to be won in PRN17.

“The readiness of the machinery in all 73 DUNs in Sabah has been in motion for some time, and we are identifying key areas that we will focus on in Sabah,” he said after attending the monthly gathering of the Ministry of Rural Development and Regional (KKDW) here today.

When asked about the negotiations between BN and the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) for PRN17, Ahmad Zahid mentioned that the discussions have not yet been finalised.

“We have solidified and finalised negotiations with Pakatan Harapan (PH), but the discussions with GRS are still pending.

“We respect the cooperation between PH and GRS; what matters is the issue of victory. Therefore, we are focusing more on the seats that we can win, and that is our priority,” he said.

According to the provisions, the 16th DUN Sabah will automatically dissolve on November 11 if it is not dissolved earlier, thus paving the way for PRN17.
