KOTA KINABALU: Inter National FC has emerged as the champion of the Mix Veteran 9-a-side football tournament series 1, 2025, held at the Ganang Kepayan field here last Sunday.
Gudboys FC took home the runner-up title, while KBSSE and RB FC secured third place, respectively.
Rayner Silak, the Deputy President of BMU FC and also the chairman of the organisers, mentioned that the event attracted many players aged 40 and above.
This 9-a-side football tournament was organised by the BMU Kota Kinabalu football club.
Rayner noted that a total of 24 male teams participated in the football league, including teams from Putatan, Papar, Penampang, Beaufort, and Kota Kinabalu.
Ninewjo Newmond, the president of BMU FC and also the advisor for the tournament, stated that organising this football event serves not only as a platform to hone skills and improve talent but also fosters camaraderie and a strong sporting spirit
