Sabah’s Patience Is Over — Truth Will Cut Like a Knife at the Ballot Box

KOTA KINABALU: We, the voters of Sabah, can no longer tolerate Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s weak excuses on the Sabah mining licence corruption scandal. His claim that only two of eight implicated leaders were charged because the MACC needed a “strong case” is not only an insult to Sabahans — it is a cover-up for selective justice and a green light for systemic corruption.

The Bitter Truth Sabahans Already Know

Eight names were exposed. Yet only two were charged. That is not justice — it is political manipulation.

Albert Tei, the whistleblower, is punished, while the guilty continue to walk free.

Andi Suryady Bandy and Yusof Yacob were charged, yet others in GRS and GLCs are shielded because they are loyal to Putrajaya.

Latheefa Koya Confirms the Cover-Up

Former MACC Chief Commissioner Latheefa Koya has now exposed Anwar’s excuse as a blatant lie. She confirmed that:

Whistleblower Albert Tei submitted a 300-page dossier to MACC — not just a video.

The dossier contained bank transfer records, WhatsApp chats, location and time data, and even direct oral testimony.

The evidence was overwhelming, far beyond what Anwar claimed in Parliament.

For the Prime Minister to tell Parliament that the only evidence was “the video” is not just false — it is knowingly misleading the Dewan Rakyat. Latheefa is right: this Madani government is no different from the corrupt BN regime Sabahans once rejected.

Shafie’s Humiliation, Sabah’s Lesson

Sabahans will never forget how Shafie Apdal was locked up and humiliated under trumped-up corruption charges. He was paraded in handcuffs, thrown into a cell, and made a political target — only for the case to collapse without conviction.

That episode was not just an attack on Shafie. It was a symbol of Sabah’s humiliation — how leaders who dared to stand up to Malaya were persecuted, while those who sold Sabah’s wealth and dignity were left untouched.

Today, the same injustice continues. When overwhelming evidence exists against GRS leaders — backed by documents, bank transfers, WhatsApp chats, and sworn testimony — Anwar suddenly says the case is “not strong enough.” Yet when it came to Shafie, no evidence was needed to justify a lock-up.

This is the clearest proof that under Anwar, justice is not blind — it is political.

Look at Sarawak, Look at Sabah

The contrast is glaring. In Sarawak, leaders stand united to defend their dignity, their rights, and their wealth. No one dares to humiliate their chief minister or parade him in handcuffs. Today, Sarawak commands RM41 billion in reserves — expected to reach RM50 billion next year. That is the power of leadership with dignity.

But in Sabah, under GRS and Anwar:

Our leaders are persecuted if they defy Malaya, and

Protected if they betray Sabahans.

Our state reserves remain a fraction of Sarawak’s — proof that GRS has failed to defend Sabah’s rights, resources, and future.

So let us ask: Are Sabahans worth less than Sarawakians? Are we condemned to humiliation while Sarawak commands respect? Are we fated to be beggars while Sarawak sits on billions?

The answer lies in our hands — in the ballot box.

A Government Closing One Eye to Corruption

By defending the failure to charge all eight, Anwar has signalled that his government is prepared to close one eye to corruption, just like the old order. His “anti-corruption” slogans are nothing more than a bluff — a cruel deception upon the rakyat.

Sabahans Will Punish Selective Justice

Sabahans are not blind. We see the hypocrisy. We see the cover-up. And we see the betrayal of justice.

This election, Sabahans will deliver their verdict. We will punish selective justice. We will end the rule of corrupt protectors. We will vote out those who think Sabahans can be fooled forever.

Sarawak chose dignity — and they now hold billions in reserves. Sabah must do the same. The ballot box will be our weapon — and the truth will cut deeper than any lie told in Parliament.
