KOTA KINABALU: The Council of Justices of the Peace Sabah (MAJAPS) has embarked on a raffle project to raise funds to help the less fortunate including the orphanages and old folks homes this year.
The Council has obtained the necessary permit and approval from the authorities including the police to sell the raffle tickets priced at RM50 each to its life members as well as members of the public .
MAJAPS president, Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence Bongkos Malakun is calling on Council life members throughout the state to give their support by buying the tickets so as to make the project a huge success.
The prizes offered are very attractive and buyers of the tickets have a chance to win:

This MAJAPS raffle project received the much needed support from Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Hj Shahelmey Hj Yahya recently when MAJAPS leaders led by Clarence called on him at the the JKR building in Sembulan here.
The minister who is a life member of MAJAPS, said he was happy to support this praiseworthy project.
MAJAPS has 265 life members throughout the Sabah.
They include prominent personalities such as present and ex-senior government servants, lawyers, journalists, businessmen, ex- Judges and even present and former State Assembly members, ministers, Chief Ministers and Governors.
Life members of MAJAPS are illegible to become associate members of the prestigious Commonwealth Magistrates & Judges Association (CMJA) whose HQ is at Uganda House, 58 Trafalgar Square , London .
