PENAMPANG: The Democratic People’s Welfare Party (PKDM) Sipitang Division today submitted 3,666 membership forms to the PKDM Secretary-General, Willie Jude Junaidi.
The membership forms were handed over by the Sipitang PKDM Chief, Sani Miasin, during a brief meeting of its committee with Willie at the PKDM Headquarters here.
Sani stated that out of the total of 3,666, 1,919 are from the Sindumin State Assembly (DUN) area, while 1,747 are from the Lumadan DUN.
“This demonstrates that the people in Sipitang are beginning to accept PKDM, and I am confident that this acceptance will continue until the 17th State Election (PRN17).
“We at the division level will continue to mobilise our machinery to win the hearts of voters there, and I believe the ‘rafflesia flower’ will bloom and flourish in the DUN areas of Sipitang and Lumadan after PRN17,” he said.
Meanwhile, in addition to submitting the membership forms, Sani also presented the profile of the PKDM Sipitang Division, which has now been fully established.
He mentioned that 30 branches have been formed in the Lumadan state constituency, while 25 branches have been established in Sindumin.
In the meantime, Willie, in his speech, urged all divisions of the party to strengthen their unity and remain united in facing PRN17.
He stated that now is not the time to be divided merely due to differing opinions, as this would only jeopardise the party’s victory in the upcoming elections.
“It is common for many to lobby when the party’s name rises, but I hope we remain ‘misompuru’ (united) because the party’s struggle is above all else,” he said.
