Salleh Urges Murut Community to Support BN for Continued Development and Stability

NABAWAN: UMNO Sabah Treasurer and Director of Elections, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, has called on the Murut community in Nabawan and surrounding areas to continue supporting Barisan Nasional (BN) as a proven force for development and stability.

Speaking at a grassroots programme in Kampung Tonomon, Mukim Sepulut, near here, under the “Radu Tatap Radu” initiative, Salleh emphasised that BN remains committed to improving infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities for all communities — especially those in the interior like Nabawan.

“Our focus is on real development — better roads, better schools, job opportunities for youth, and access to basic services. This has always been BN’s track record, and we want to continue this mission together with our partners in the Unity Government,” he said.

He noted that BN’s cooperation with Pakatan Harapan (PH) under the Unity Government is a strategic and inclusive step forward. “When we work together with PH, it is not about politics alone — it is about ensuring that Sabah gets its fair share of attention, resources, and representation at the national level.”

Salleh reminded voters that slogans and party labels do not build roads or schools. “What matters is delivery. The Murut community deserves results, not empty promises. BN has the experience, the machinery, and now with PH, the partnership needed to move Sabah forward.”

He concluded by urging the Murut community to remain united and not be divided by identity-based narratives. “We are all Sabahans. What we need now is unity, development, and a clear path forward. BN is ready to serve — and we ask for your trust.”

The event was attended by Datuk Yakub Khan, UMNO Sepanggar Division Chief and Director of the Radu Tatap Radu programme; Datuk Ramie Unggi, UMNO Tenom Division Chief; Tuan Bunsiau Ampirak, UMNO Pensiangan Division Chief; and Datuk Noraini Idris, UMNO Sabah Women’s Chief.

The programme drew a strong turnout of 500 attendees
