TAMBUNAN: The Tambunan Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Chief, Datuk Dr. Victor P Paut, has urged party members from the highest branches to the grassroots to prepare for the 17th state election (PRN) this year.
He wants party members to strengthen their ranks, refine their strategies, engage with the community, connect with the people, and assure them that Sabah’s future lies with the People’s Idea.
“Continue to engage with the people. We are not just a political party; we are the voice and hope of the people. Listen to their grievances, look into their eyes, and extend help as much as you can.
“The people do not ask for the moon and stars; they only want honest leaders who are present when they are in need,” he stated.
He made these remarks while officiating the 3rd Annual Conference of the Tambunan People’s Idea Division for the year 2025, at Pisompuruan Square, here on Sunday.
Also present were the Deputy Head of the Tambunan People’s Idea Division, Mohd Yassin Mohd Yunus, Hussein Hassan (Deputy Head of the Division); Mohd Hajjaz Iqbal (Secretary of the Division); Rahim Bin Yasin (Head of Information); Ar Rafi Bin Yasin (Head of the Youth Movement); and Vianney Evanna Vide (Head of the Women’s Youth Movement).
Also present was observer Denis Bin Gapilit from the Bingkor People’s Idea Division along with his delegation.
Victor also urged party members to maintain momentum and a strong work ethic while continuing efforts to strengthen membership, build trust, and mobilize efforts from village to village, and district to district.
“We want the People’s Idea to be felt not only during elections but always as friends and bearers of their hopes. Unite our struggle.
“This fight is too significant for us to let small differences divide us. Let us discard the murky and embrace the clear. Indeed, our strength lies in the unity of our hearts and a shared determination for beloved Sabah,” he added.
