UMNO divisional delegates’ meetings serve to strengthen party solidarity in facing PRN – Awang Aslee

BEAUFORT: The Beaufort UMNO Chief Datuk Awang Aslee Lakat has called on all party members and representatives to utilise the UMNO divisional delegates’ meetings as a crucial platform to reinforce solidarity and refine the party’s strategies in advocating for the people’s welfare, particularly in Sabah.

He stated that the annual party delegates’ meeting, which runs from June 9 to July 27, is not merely a routine event but a strategic platform for organising strength and preparing the party, especially as Sabah is expected to face the crucial State Election (PRN).

“This conference presents the best opportunity for us to assess the strength of our machinery, generate ideas, and plan coordinated and integrated steps ahead of the Sabah PRN,” he told UMNO Online.

He also reminded that the current political challenges require all members to remain united, resilient, and focused in the party’s struggle, particularly in engaging with the people and addressing grassroots issues.

“We must continue to be a party that is sensitive, caring, and tirelessly serving. Success in the upcoming PRN will only come if we are truly prepared from now, not just in terms of strategy but also in building relationships and trust with the people towards UMNO.

“Let us convene with a spirit of brotherhood, sincerity, and high commitment to ensure UMNO remains a strong party for the Malays and all Malaysians,” he said.

He also announced that the Beaufort UMNO Division will hold its Annual Conference simultaneously with the three wings of the division: Women, Youth, and Puteri on July 26 at the Sabah Bisaya Association Hall, near here, which will be officiated by UMNO Vice President Datuk Seri Johari Ghani.
