TONGOD: Popular leader with the slogan ‘Tatap Kalaga’, Datuk Masiung Banah has suggested that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will contest at least 52 seats in the coming Sabah State General Election (PRN).
“Based on the strong sentiment of the people of Sabah towards the local party ahead of the PRN, this time I would have contested 52 seats if the GRS Chairman agreed to the proposal.
“The rest of the 21 seats will be distributed to the national party that agreed to cooperate with GRS,” he said, receiving a loud applause of more than 700 people in a series of GRS tours in Kampung Mananam here, on Saturday.
The People’s President of the People’s Ideas (People’s Ideas) vice-president in the GRS can be a dominant betting while ousting the opposition previously rejected by the people during the government in Sabah.
Masiung, who is also a representative of the people of Kuamut, insisted that GRS would be more careful to establish cooperation with other parties following the events of trying to overthrow the state government through Kinabalu’s move in January 2023.
According to him, the political and governmental cooperation between GRS and Pakatan Harapan (PH) is currently good enough, and it can be maintained.
Masiung believes that if the GRS and PH agreements continue in the face of PRN17, the coalition is believed to be able to form the Sabah State Government again.
Earlier, Masiung’s arrival was welcomed by the hero by the Sungai Making people at the Mananam Polling Centre (PDM), accompanied by more than 30 motorcycles carrying the GRS flag.
The tour was attended by all the Chiefs of the GRS Component Party in the Kuamut State Assembly.
