TAMBUNAN: A total of 100 students who have completed their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) in Tambunan will receive sponsorship for their registration fees to continue their education at North Borneo University College (NBUC).
Each student will be granted RM200, courtesy of Datuk Victor P. Paut, the Tambunan Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat). Chief.
Victor expressed his willingness to provide this sponsorship after receiving a request from NBUC.
“I have agreed to fund this educational initiative after considering the welfare of SPM graduates from Tambunan, aiming to ease their financial burden as they pursue university education,” he stated.
He emphasised his commitment to the importance of education for students in Tambunan and his desire to see them achieve a brighter future.
“It is my priority to assist and ensure that Tambunan produces outstanding and highly skilled students, as they will be the future leaders,” he added.
NBUC offers various fields of study, including Aviation and Aircraft Maintenance, Business and Accounting, Surveying and Geomatics, Hospitality and Tourism, Pastry and Culinary Arts, and Multimedia and Animation, as well as Early Childhood Education.
The advantages of studying at NBUC include on-the-job training, MQA accreditation, recognition from JPK, financial assistance, and the provision of dormitories and transportation.
Registration will take place on April 10, 2025, from 8 AM to 12 PM at the Pisompuruan Hall in Tambunan.
