Jeffrey, Clarence elected KDCAdeputy presidents for 2025-2028 term

PENAMPANG: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan and Council of the Justices of the Peace Sabah (MAJAPS) president, Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence Bongkos Malakun were elected Kadazandusun Cultural Association (KDCA) deputy presidents for the 2025-2028 term.

Six others were elected vice presidents and they were Datuk James Ratib, Datuk Robert Tawik, Datuk Juil Nuatim, Datuk Daniel Kinsik, Datuk Hendrus Anding and John Chryso Masabal.

The new central committee members were Dr Christopher Mandut, Dr Akian Ahkiew, Jude Abel Logijin, Charles Dalansing, Jos @ George Saidi, Datuk Evaristus Gungkit, Datuk Peter Jino Allion, Datin Elaine Nora Amandus, Flarence J. Underwood, Datuk Jonnybone Kurum and Melon Yaming.

Three including John Anthony contested the two deputy president posts, 12 members vied for the six vice president posts while 43 contested the 11 available spots in the central committee.

Huguan Siou Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan who was re-elected as KDCA president unopposed will appoint three more deputy presidents, four vice presidents and 10 central committee members.

Some 800 delegates voted at the 16th KDCA triennial delegates conference held at Hongkod Koisaan here on Sunday.
