TAWAU: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) is confident it will continue to govern the state after the 17th State Election (PRN17).
Chief Minister Datuk SeriHajiji Noor said that this confidence stems from the achievements made in implementing changes over the past four years of governance in Sabah.
He assured that the issue of water supply will be resolved this year following the completion of improvement works.
“We have plans and efforts in place; we are not just making empty promises,” he emphasised on Sunday.
As the Chairman of GRS, Hajiji asserted that GRS is not making baseless claims like the opposition, which has proven ineffective in addressing the people’s issues during their time in power.
“Rest assured, in the upcoming election, the GRS government will be formed once again. Therefore, I do not want Merotai to be left behind this time; Merotai must be represented by a government representative.
“We must win here to advance Merotai. We are not just talking; we have a clear direction,” Hajiji explained.
He added that GRS aims to secure all the State Assembly (DUN) seats in the Tawau and Kalabakan parliamentary constituencies in the upcoming PRN17.
