He emphasised that engaging in sports is not merely a pastime; it significantly enhances mental well-being and cultivates teamwork and collaboration among KUSKOP members.

“To this end, I have made contributions to support KUSKOP members participating in the Mount Kinabalu Expedition and the KUSKOP 2025 Sports Carnival.

“Additionally, I will sponsor the expenses for the male and female champions of the Damak KUSKOP competition to compete in the Kota Belud Dart Championship in Sabah, expected to take place mid-year,” he said.

He made these remarks in a media statement after presenting contributions to representatives of the Mount Kinabalu Expedition and during a brief opening ceremony for the KUSKOP 2025 Sports Carnival on Wednesday.

The Mount Kinabalu Expedition, scheduled for February 21 and 22, will see participation from 23 KUSKOP members, led by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Dato’ Sri Khairul Dzaimee Daud.

Regarding the Dart competition, Ewon expressed hope that the KUSKOP Closed Dart League continues to grow as a platform for discovering new talent in the ministry’s dart sports.

The KUSKOP Closed Dart League, held annually since 2023 by the KUSKOP Sports and Welfare Club (KESUKMA), will feature 24 participants divided into three categories: male, male pairs, and mixed trio.

Initially known as the Ramadan Marksmen League, the early iterations of the KUSKOP Closed Dart League only included individual and pair competitions. However, the 2025 edition introduces a new Mixed Trio category, allowing female participants to join for the first time.
