KOTA KINABALU: The festive spirit of the Chinese New Year is increasingly felt in Sabah, with only five days remaining until the celebration begins.
In Tenom, a rural area of Sabah, Datuk Peter Anthony, the president of the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), took the time to conduct a walkabout, engaging with the local community and small traders in the Tenom town area.
“This annual visit allows me to check in on the Chinese community while sharing mandarin oranges with others,” he noted in his latest Facebook update.
Accompanying him during the walkabout were several members of the KDM Supreme Council.
Peter expressed his hope that the upcoming Chinese New Year in 2025 will bring prosperity and success across all sectors, ultimately benefiting the people of Sabah.
