According to a report by ONLINE UMNO, he expressed concern that the problem persists despite numerous complaints from various parties, leaving residents in an unacceptable situation.

“I can understand the argument that Sabah’s population is growing and the demand for treated water is increasing, but the strategies to tackle this issue in both the short and long term remain unclear.

“We cannot remain static in our ideas and methods. Sometimes, we need to consider suggestions from external sources to find solutions,” he said.

As such, Jeffery Nor, who is also the Putatan UMNO Division chief, urged the Sabah State Water Department (JANS) to take this matter seriously and provide a clear explanation of the current situation along with the measures being implemented or planned.

In a post on his Facebook page, Jeffery Nor shared that he has received several videos and images from residents affected by the water supply issues.

“We are already in the year 2025, yet the situation is worse than before. Daily reports emerge from areas or villages lacking water supply,” he remarked.

He expressed sympathy for the affected residents and pledged to assist them to the best of his ability.
