KOTA KINABALU: The Putatan UNNO division is determined to secure a significant victory in three state seats (DUN) in the upcoming state election (PRN).
Its division chief, Jeffery Nor Mohamed, said the targeted DUNs include Tanjung Aru, Petagas, and Tanjung Keramat.
He expressed confidence, noting that the majority of voters in these constituencies are predominantly Muslim Bumiputera.
“The Putatan parliamentary seat is a stronghold for UMNO Sabah. There is no reason we cannot achieve a resounding victory in the upcoming Sabah elections.
“UMNO Putatan is fully prepared to face the PRN, which is expected to take place within the next six months,” he said on Monday.
Jeffrey Nor, who is also the election director of Sabah UMNO, emphasised that UMNO Putatan has been actively engaging with the community well ahead of the election season.
“We are confident that our ongoing efforts will contribute to a victory for Barisan Nasional (BN) Sabah in the upcoming PRN.
“All our machinery is ready to work diligently in this election, ensuring UMNO triumphs in these three DUNs,” said Jeffrey Nor.
In related news, UMNO Putatan has expressed support for the actions taken by the UMNO Youth Chief, Datuk Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh, regarding the sale of questionable halal sandwich packs at KK Mart, University Malaya branch, which bore a halal logo.
“Strict measures must be enforced to prevent such incidents from recurring. This matter should not be taken lightly.
“UMNO Putatan stands behind the actions of the UMNO Youth Movement, advocating for immediate and decisive action to protect the interests and sensitivities of the Muslim community in Malaysia,” Jeffrey Nor added.
Also present were Datuk Dr. Muhamad Akmal Saleh and the Sabah UMNO Youth Chief, Sufian Abdul Karim.
