The Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, Datuk Ewon Benedick, announced that this evaluation began last year, following the initial five years of the master plan’s implementation.

Ewon, who is also the assemblyman for Kadamaian, expressed his appreciation for the numerous projects that have been executed under this plan from 2020 to 2025.

“I am pleased to see a wide range of development projects, from small to large scale, have been carried out during the first five years of the Kadamaian Development Master Plan, particularly during the Twelfth Malaysia Plan (RMK12) 2021-2025.

“I value the contributions of all ministries, departments, and agencies involved in the projects that have been and are being implemented throughout Kadamaian,” he stated.

Ewon made these remarks during an engagement session organised by IDS in collaboration with the Kota Belud District Office, the Kadamaian Assemblyman Service Centre, and various government departments in Kota Belud on Thursday.

He noted that the master plan was developed based on the views, suggestions, needs, and aspirations of the people of Kadamaian, following a six-month study conducted by IDS from 2018 to 2019, shortly after he was elected as the assemblyman for Kadamaian. This study was funded through the Touching Hearts allocation for the Kadamaian Assemblyman.

“Last year, I requested IDS to conduct an evaluation study on the implementation of this plan, which included consultations with government departments, resulting in six discussion clusters held today.

“I will present the findings of this study and the master plan to all ministers and their respective ministries as input for the planning of RMK13,” he added.

Also present at the engagement session was the District Officer of Kota Belud, Peter Jiton.
