SANDAKAN: After failing to topple the Sabah state government through the ” Langkah Kinabalu”, the opposition party tried to incite the people to topple the People’s Representatives of the Sabah People’s Coalition (GRS) through various propaganda videos.
The video recording that they spread using certain individuals recently is not only an attempt to overthrow the GRS government, it is even a revenge that has been planned for a long time by the opposition leaders in Sabah.
Sabah People’s Coalition Party Vice President (Gagasan Rakyat), Datuk Masiung Banah claimed that the ‘Langkah Kinabalu’ group was trying to make up for their disappointment after failing to take control of the Sabah government through the ‘back door’.
“They are always trying to use various propaganda including dirty tactics to influence the people of Sabah to hate the Sabah government led by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
“They realize that their party’s influence is diminishing after losing in the last series of elections, because of that they are planning negative conspiracies to return to power,” he said after officiating the closing of the People’s Ideas Flight Workshop here, yesterday.
Masiung claimed that the frustrated Langkah Kinabalu team was the social media mastermind responsible for producing a malicious incitement video involving eight GRS MPs recently.
He is confident that there will be more efforts and revenge by the opposition group to incite the people of Sabah ahead of this year’s State General Election (PRN).
“Let’s see what other trouble they will make, we believe they are now planning an agenda to incite the people to hate the government.
He said the increase in the Sabah Government Budget 2025 that was presented by the State Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun on 15 November 2024 clearly dealt a huge blow to the opposition groups in Sabah.
According to Masiung, the budget amounting to RM6.421 billion is the first time for the state of Sabah to offer various new initiatives to the people of Marhean, which has clearly never been done by any coalition of parties that became the state government before.
