TAMBUNAN: The Gagasan Rakyat Sabah party’s Tambunan division has reported a significant increase in membership, now totalling 12,000 individuals.
Datuk Victor P. Paut, the head of Gagasan Rakyat Tambunan, said that this figure surpasses the party’s initial goal of registering 10,000 members by the end of 2024.
“This achievement positions Gagasan Rakyat Tambunan at the forefront of membership numbers among the party’s divisions in Sabah.
“It also further strengthens the Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Tambunan in preparation for the upcoming state elections,” he said.
He told reporters this after officiating the Gagasan Rakyat Tambunan Christmas and New Year 2025 Open House at Pisompuruan Square, here on Saturday.
Victor expressed that this accomplishment is a testament to the hard work of the party’s leadership in advocating for the welfare of the local community.
“I am truly pleased with this achievement and impressed by the dedication demonstrated by the party’s leadership, alongside the strong support from the people.
“This proves that Gagasan Rakyat is the party of the future for the people of Tambunan,” he added, noting that with the continued support from the community, the party will remain active in grassroots efforts to strengthen its presence.
In response to another question, Victor indicated that the substantial membership clearly signals that Gagasan Rakyat Tambunan has been well received by the people.
