KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government is not hiding anything following the revelation of a video recording linking several assemblymen with corrupt practices.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said he was leaving it to the authorities to investigate the matter in question.
According to him, the state government is still functioning well despite facing those accusations.
Hajiji said this to reporters after the groundbreaking ceremony of the 100 MW Kimanis Power (Two) Sdn Bhd Power Plant Project and the 15th anniversary celebration of Kimanis Power Sdn Bhd today.
Yesterday, Sindumin Assemblyman Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob left it to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to investigate allegations of his involvement in a recent corruption scandal.
The Chairman of Qhazanah Sabah Berhad believes that there may be parties taking advantage of the widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology at this time by linking it to the matter.
A news portal recently revealed eight video recordings implicating several assembly members who were allegedly discussing bribes worth hundreds of thousands to RM4 million given to them in exchange for securing projects in a state.
