Warisan President Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal pledged that the party also aims to offer free education beginning at the primary school level.

Additionally, he said that Warisan plans to increase the number of scholarships available to provide greater opportunities for eligible Sabah students to pursue higher education.

“God willing, if Warisan is destined to govern after the elections, we will restructure the Sabah Foundation.

“The Sabah Foundation is wealthy, and we will utilise its funds effectively to assist the people of Sabah, particularly in the education sector,” he said.

The former Chief Minister of Sabah made these remarks during the Warisan President’s tour in the Kota Marudu parliamentary area on Sunday.

Mohd Shafie also pledged to establish factories in rural areas, including Kota Marudu, Keningau, and Sipitang, if given the mandate to govern the state.

He emphasised that such initiatives should be prioritised to create job opportunities for the youth of Sabah.

He noted that many local youths are currently working in factories across the peninsula due to a lack of job opportunities in their home state.
