KOTA KINABALU: The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sabah will host its 2024 State Convention , at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on October 27.
In a statement released on Saturday, Phoong Jin Zhe, Secretary of DAP Sabah, announced that the event will commence at 10:00 AM.
More than 1,000 DAP members from across Sabah are anticipated to participate, convening to deliberate on the future development and strategic direction of DAP Sabah for the next three years.
He noted that DAP Sabah currently comprises 80 Class A branches, with a total of 580 eligible delegates.
Additionally, DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke is expected to attend the convention and will officiate the opening ceremony.
“The nomination process officially closed on September 27, at 5 PM. Delegates from all regions of Sabah will elect a new leadership team during the convention to guide DAP Sabah into the future.”
He urged all delegates and observers to arrive at the venue for registration by 8:30 AM, dressed in party attire or white clothing paired with black or dark trousers. The convention will begin promptly at 10:00 AM.
