KOTA BELUD: The Excellence Award Ceremony for SMK Pekan 2 Kota Belud 2024 took place today at the Dewan Jauhari SMK Pekan 2, near here where 200 students were honoured for their outstanding achievements in academics and extracurricular activities.
The event was graced by former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, who presented awards to students who excelled throughout the year.
Also present were parents, teachers, and students from the school.
In his speech, Salleh, who is also the Usukan assemblyman, congratulated all award recipients and emphasised the importance of hard work and dedication in achieving success.
He said that students’ achievements are a source of pride not only for their parents but also for the school and the local community.
“This award is not just recognition; it serves as motivation to continue striving for excellence in any field pursued.
“These students have shown that with consistent effort and ongoing support, success is definitely achievable,” he said.
The ceremony also featured various performances by students, adding to the festive atmosphere and showcasing talents beyond academic excellence.
This event reflects SMK Pekan 2’s commitment to support and recognise students’ talents and efforts in shaping a future generation that excels academically and is competitive in all aspects of life.
