PENAMPANG: Former Senator Adrian Lasimbang is confident that the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO) will continue to progress under the leadership of its president, Datuk Ewon Benedick.
Adrian said that he is ready to serve and fight alongside the party for the people of Sabah.
“I am ready to serve and fight alongside the leadership of UPKO. I believe that under Datuk Ewon’s leadership, UPKO can bring Sabah to a much better level than it is now.
“I am also very excited to return and have the opportunity to be back in UPKO, a party that has been rebranded, a progressive party that brings innovation and a new way of politics with new leadership,” he said.
He said this while delivering a brief speech during the membership card presentation and his return to UPKO at Hotel D’Arch here on Sunday.
Adrian, who is also a former leader of the UPKO Youth Movement in Penampang, said that after several years outside the party, he had the opportunity to learn with other party members in the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
“What is important now is that this struggle must continue to meet the needs of the people and fight alongside UPKO,” he said.
UPKO President Datuk Ewon Benedick presented a membership card to Adrian as a gesture of ‘welcome back’.
