Sabah UMNO on the verge of finalising a collaboration with Warisan – Bung Moktar

He said this positive development follows several discussions between the top leaders of both parties.

Bung Moktar emphasized that they have also engaged in discussions with their partners in the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition to ensure that every seat in non-Muslim bumiputera areas can be contested and defended in the upcoming PRN.

UMNO is not limiting their discussions to just one party but is engaging with various parties interested in contesting the PRN.

He stressed the importance of numbers in the PRN, even if they come from smaller parties, as they can contribute seats towards forming the government.

Bung Moktar made these remarks during an Iftar event with UMNO Zone Three, which included Papar, Kimanis, Beaufort, and Sipitang, at the New Papar Community Hall on Saturday.

As the Member of Parliament for Kinabatangan, Bung Moktar stated that UMNO and BN will soon present new proposals to the people on how to advance Sabah towards becoming a truly prosperous state from a broader perspective.

He highlighted that Sabah does not believe that the infrastructure issues have been resolved despite changes in the government, and the people still lack the desired facilities.

Bung Moktar urged the people to give UMNO and BN the mandate to lead Sabah in the upcoming PRN, promising to ensure that the state is on the right path towards real progress rather than mere rhetoric.

He also confirmed that detailed discussions will take place with coalition partners in the BN component to determine the number of seats to be contested.

Bung Moktar assured that he will provide further information on the distribution of these seats and conduct a tour of the 23 seats to gauge the voters’ responses to UMNO and BN.

Based on the feedback, UMNO/BN will decide whether to contest in those areas or engage in discussions with other coalition partners to secure their contribution to those seats, he said.
