DAP Sabah Applauds Loke for Repealing the National Load Centre Policy

SANDAKAN: The Democratic Action Party’s (DAP) Sabah Secretary’s Political Secretary commends the recent announcement by Minister of Transport Anthony Loke regarding the repeal of the National Load Centre policy.

“This significant decision by Minister of Transport Anthony Loke and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim marks a crucial step forward in enhancing the efficiency and flexibility of cargo services in Malaysia,” said DAP Sabah.

DAP Sabah expresses its utmost appreciation for the relentless efforts put forth by Minister Anthony Loke in recognising the importance of this policy change.

“This development underscores the responsiveness of the Unity Government to the needs and aspirations of the people, particularly in Sabah.”

“It is important to highlight that DAP Sabah has long advocated for the abolition of the National Load Centre policy since the leadership of the late Datuk Stephen Wong, former DAP Sabah Chairman, as it heavily affects Sabah’s shipping industry and the broader economic landscape.

“This shows DAP and Pakatan Harapan’s commitment towards Sabahans; previous governments have never repealed this policy,” emphasised DAP Sabah.

DAP Sabah stated that the decision to revoke the National Load Centre policy signifies a significant victory for DAP Sabah and the people of Sabah, who have tirelessly championed this cause.

“This policy shift not only promotes inclusivity and equal opportunities for all ports but also fosters a conducive environment for trade and commerce to thrive across the nation,” highlighted DAP Sabah.

DAP Sabah also extends its gratitude to Minister of Transport Anthony Loke and the Unity government under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for their proactive approach to addressing this longstanding issue.

“We believe the Unity Government under the leadership of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Anthony Loke will introduce more opportunities to Sabah and boost Sabah’s economic development, fostering Sabah as the far east hub,” said DAP Sabah.
