KUALA LUMPUR: Business confidence in Malaysia stands at 3.2 percent, a testament to the resilience and dynamism of the business community.
Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperative Datuk Ewon Benedick said this statistic is not only a testament to the resilience and dynamism of the business community but signifies the unwavering belief that entrepreneurs have in the potential of the nation’s economic growth.
Speaking during the gathering of SEBA to celebrate entrepreneurs last night, he said the growth of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the country is set to see a direct and positive impact as a result of this heightened business confidence.
“I believe that a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem is the cornerstone of economic development, and Malaysia is no exception,” he said, adding that the multiplier effect will be felt across various sectors, creating a ripple effect that will contribute to the overall prosperity of our nation.
In the spirit of celebrating achievements and fostering collaboration, he congratulated Yayasan Usahawan Malaysia for their commendable efforts in bringing SEBA to Borneo in 2024.
“The expansion of such initiatives to different regions not only showcases the inclusivity of our entrepreneurial support programmes but also recognises the diverse talents and potential that exist across our nation,” he said.
He also said that the upcoming SEBA Borneo 2024 will be launched with a spectacular presentation on screen and video.
“This groundbreaking initiative will extend its reach to Sabah, Sarawak, and Brunei, symbolising a regional collaboration like never before.”
