According to him, the party members’ struggle must be grounded in the right intentions.

Masidi said determination and commitment are important assets to strengthen democracy and bring positive changes to the party and the state.

“However, all this can only be realised with sincere intentions. Among you all, there are certainly a thousand and one reasons to join Gagasan Rakyat.

“Consider your struggle as a national service for Sabah. Fight sincerely for the good of the community, not for personal gain alone.

“This struggle is not only as a leader or a member of Gagasan Rakyat, but a struggle as a “local Sabahan” who loves this state,” he said.

Masidi said this in his speech at the first Gagasan Rakyat’s Annual General Meeting of the Women, Youth, and Beliawanis Movement at SICC near here today.

He said that as a local party, Gagasan Rakyat has a special responsibility to represent the voice and aspirations of the people of Sabah.

“We are not only fighting for Sabah’s rights at the national level but also ensuring that every decision and initiative taken by the state government is respected,” he said.

According to Masidi, the concept of ‘Sabah First’ is not just a slogan but a manifestation of our commitment to ensure that the interests of Sabah are always prioritised.

“As a local party, PGRS should be at the forefront of fighting for the rights and interests of the people of Sabah, ensuring that their voices are heard and their aspirations are realised,” he said.
