JOHOR (Pulai): UMNO and Barisan Nasional (BN) will play a significant role in helping to win candidates from the Unity Government (PH) in the by-elections of the Pulai Parliamentary constituency and the Simpang Jeram state seat,
Sabah UMNO Liaison Committee Chairman, Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin, said the victory of the PH candidate will help to strengthen the position of the Unity Government for the political stability of the country and the people as a whole.
The people need to continue the winning momentum of the Unity Government candidates here. We will also work hard to help the PH candidates.
“I am confident that in both seats, PH has a chance to win, but in all election campaigns, candidates and coalition parties must not take things for granted and instead work hard and be ready to face any challenge,” he said.
Bung said this when he was campaigning with UMNO BN supporters at the District Voting Center (PDM) Rumah Pangsa Sri Indah here on Saturday.
Also present were Sabah UMNO Secretary Datuk Jafry Ariffin and Tawau UMNO Chief Gazali Ansing.
Bung Moktar said, this by-election, BN and PH need victory in Pulai and Simpang Jeram to stabilise the government in Putrajaya.
We also remind Umno voters not to be easily influenced by the opposition propaganda regarding BN cooperation with PH, especially DAP,” he said.
