In making the call, former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak said it is crucial for the state to “stay the course of moderation” when making the decision.

FMT News Portal reported that Selangor, the richest state in the nation, has a government that Salleh said must be in alignment with Putrajaya.

“The key economic entry point for the nation is Selangor. The correct individuals must be in charge if you want to maintain that situation and all of its advantages.
At the state and federal levels, nobody has a better track record than BN and PH,” Salleh told FMT while campaigning for BN’s Johan Aziz in Dusun Tua on Wednesday.

Salleh, who is also Usukan assemblyman said the people of Selangor and its economy would lose out if the state was run by an “extreme” party which does not share the federal government’s values and aspirations of uniting Malaysians from all walks of life.

As such, Salleh urged all Selangor voters to choose moderation and vote for PH-BN.

Earlier, in his speech, Salleh said it was important for the nation to focus on the economy following disruption in the preceding three years brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Currently, there are approximately 160,000 Sabahans residing or working in Selangor.
