Kedah folk should choose a visionary leader, not a leader akin to “The King of Comedian” – Bung

KEDAH : Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Panglima Bung Moktar Radin has urged voters in the state to choose candidates who can represent the voice of the people, not individuals who often speak irresponsibly about other leaders and behave akin to the King of Comedians with no clear direction to bring prosperity to the state for the welfare of the people.

He said the six-state election on August 12 appeared to be a competition to find an entertaining leader who went viral on the social application of Tik Tok by using such bad language that even the institution of royalty was touched, reflecting the manners of a leader of too low a value.

“This state election we are not looking for and electing “Rajak Lawak” (King of Comedian) leaders who are only popular on social media, Tik Tok, and so on, but this election we are supposed to choose leaders and a government that can bring development and progress for the benefit of the people,” said Bung.

He said this while campaigning for the Unity Government candidates at several Voting District Centres in Kedah, including PDM Taman Bemban DUN Kupang, PDM Sungai Buluh DUN Bandar Baru Kulim, and PDM Kuala Ketil Baling Kedah, here yesterday.

Also present were Kedah BN Election Director Dato Wira Osman Aziz, Baling Umno Division Chief Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, Parit Buntar UMNO Division Chief Dato Sri Nizar Zakariah, and Sabah UMNO Secretary Datuk Jafry Arifin.

According to Bung, who is also an UMNO Supreme Working Council member, this is the opportune time to elect a leader who has vision, works hard to develop the state, attracts investors, and develops the state’s economy, thus creating job opportunities as well as raising the standard of the economy.

“We are not electing a leader who thinks he is a hero on social media or TikTok. What we are thinking about is the future of the state and the people of Kedah, who need a leader and a government with far-sightedness to bring about sustainable development for the well-being of the people,” Bung added.
