KOTA KINABALU: The Trade Investment Unit (TIU) under Sabah Development Berhad (SDB) led by its chairman, Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung paid a courtesy visit to Sabah Economic Development and Investment Authority (SEDIA) today.
The visit aimed to establish partnership between the two corporations in their efforts to bring about more investments into Sabah, be its domestic or foreign direct investments.
During the visit, the Chief Executive Officer of SEDIA, Datuk Seri Panglima Hashim Paijan, welcomed the TIU’s delegation, and the Chief Investment Officer of SEDIA, Kevin George Ukang, gave a detailed briefing on the Sabah Development Corridor (SDC) blueprint and investment-related information .
Datuk Frankie Poon, the Chairman of SDB, conveyed his appreciation to SEDIA for providing comprehensive insights on investment and development opportunities in Sabah.
Both Datuk Seri Panglima Hashim Paijan and Datuk Frankie Poon expressed their desire to work closely together and the two corporations could complement each other in State’s efforts to promote trade and investments.
Meanwhile, the General Manager of TIU, Liau Fui Fui, expressed her satisfaction with the visit which marked a significant step in strengthening the partnership between the two corporations, and paving the way for future collaborations aiming at driving economic growth and development of the State.
