KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) needs to get ready and make a thorough preparations to face the 15th General Election (GE15).
In making the call, Sabah BN Election Director Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak urged Sabah BN leaders to set aside their differences of opinion and instead get the election machinery ready.
“The Barisan Nasional machinery is just like a warrior in the front line ready to ‘fight’,” he said in his latest Facebook posting.
The former Sabah chief Minister said the BN machinery should be prepared mentally and physically to face the 15th general election, which is expected to be held at any time, he said, as Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob had said he would not delay calling for elections, once BN was ready.
“There is no need for us to quarrel and fight over when the best time to hold an election is.
“Therefore, it is important for systematic assignments, effective campaigns, hard -working vote -getters as well as every grassroots to take advantage of the use of social media,” he said.
Salleh, who is also Usukan assemblyman said BN’s record of holding power for decades proved that the party gave priority to the welfare of the people, when compared to Pakatan Harapan and Perikatan Nasional.
He said the PH government of 22 months had received criticism from various quarters, while PN had shown itself to be ineffective in planning.
As such, Salleh wants the BN machinery to work as a team, be disciplined and continue to be loyal to the party.
